Attorneys, Lawyers and Law Firms that represent Armed Forces -- Army, Navy, Marine, and Air Force -- personnel facing possible charges in military board and CID investigations, and military court martial proceedings. These civilian lawyers are not part of the Armed Forces military structure and can vigorously defend enlisted personnel and officers without fear of potential retaliation or worries about career or command influence.

DivorceNet.com welcomes our military service members and their spouses. We are proud of your selfless commitment and offer our support during these difficult times.
Unfortunately, long deployments combined with high stress often cause problems in relationships that result in separation and even divorce. Certain rules apply to your case that are different from traditional civilian divorces. Federal law controls military pensions and certain emergency child support orders, and state law controls all other aspects of your divorce. Perhaps the most misunderstood area of law arises from the division of military pensions because federal law supercedes your settlement agreement and state law.

Military trials are called courts-martial and the juries are composed of military personnel, who can be both enlisted and officers, referred to as members. Military crimes are ‘referred’ to one of three types of courts-martial: Summary court-martial, where one officer serves as Judge and Jury with the maximum confinement time being 30 days; Special court-martial, the military equivalent of a civilian misdemeanor with the maximum confinement time being 1 year; and General court-martial, the military equivalent of a civilian felony court with the maximum length of confinement determined by the particular crime. There are also a host of non-judicial punishment (NJP) procedures known Captain’s Mast in the Navy, Office Hours in the Marine Corps, and Article 15 in the Army and Air Force which, although not permitting confinement, can have the same career-ending consequences as a court-martial conviction. Military rights and rules of practice are very unique, and should be discussed with an attorney specializing in military law.

- McNabb Associates, P.C.
McNabb Associates, P.C. embodies a team of professionals that understands the federal criminal system in a way that few firms can. Our practice focuses entirely on one area: federal criminal defense. That one area is composed of four defense components: military crimes (armed forces), federal crimes (civilian), national security crimes and international extradition. We don't handle criminal proceedings in state court nor do we handle civil litigation. The firm concentrates all its efforts on defending individuals that are under federal investigation or have been charged with having committed a federal crime. And it does so on a national and international scale.
The firm's founding partner, Douglas C. McNabb, leads a team with unparalleled experience. The firm offers over a quarter-century of legal experience and has defended every major type of federal crime.
